Hi folks
Recently my gfriend's AAO SSD died. As a result I am trying to install kuki to an SD card while installing the grub bootloader to a USB (having already loaded the OS to USB via unetbootin).
Kuki installer appears to load the OS to the SD card but once it reaches 94% the GRUB installer fails (code = 1). I have been choosing the USB device for the bootloader install at the advanced menu in the last step. (I've noticed some others have had the same trouble but no fixes seem to have appeared)
I can't figure out what I am doing wrong; although I have a fairly limited knowledge of Linux.
There is something else that is strange, however. Although the SSD appears totally dead the file manager (when kuki is booted from USB) indicates 9.6 Gb of space available despite there being only a 2gb SD card and 4gb usb inserted. Does the remaining space represent parts of the SSD that are not dead (I can see some folders in there that were modified prior to the disk dying)?
Any advice would be much appreciated :)
P.S. I've tried locating the "mystery disk space" through gparted but it isn't recognised, in fact gparted only detects the USB- not even the SD card.
