Unable to make a usb key with unetbootin

Hello all,

I try to install the new version of kuki the 2.8.

But unetbootin fail to create a bootable key. I have the following error :
Could not find kernel image: Linux

I try with different version of unebootin windows version, linux version.
3.57 version, 3.72 version... None works

If I type when I have the prompt boot:
vmzlinuz

it failed with an error.

Could someone help ?

Well, I myself have been having some difficulties with unetbootin lately. Some things you need to check are:
* does the md5 of kuk i2.8 match the kuki 2.8 image?
* did you format your usbstick to fat32 before using unetbootin?

running Jollicloud and Kuki Linux 2.8 final on a AAO ZG5 120gb HD, 1gb ram (labeled by shop as AAO 150 Ab)

after checking what zoro asked. if it still does not work try formating with fat32 with the program HP format

Sometimes i am getting failed with unetbootin under Ubuntu. But it is always successful under Windows. I do not know the reason. I supposed that it is related with usb MBR and format must be fat16/32, no other. But i advice you that you must use unetbootin under windows. At least it is easier then...

Thanks guys for your answers ! I took my old usb key which I used to install kuki at first and which I know it's works. There is a difference on the two keys : on the new one the syslinux.cfg file is empty.

I will try this evening with my old key and the old unetbootin on the windows pc of my son and I will report what's happen...

And how are we doing with unetbootin atm?

I had similar issue - I was using linux version of unetbootin. I seem to have space on the disk in use with hidden files (although no error message was thrown up). I did an erase (on my Mac as I don't yet know how to do that on linux) of the usb drive. It all then worked.

I use flashnul.exe, as per the instructions for USB install on the Ubuntu site.
Simple command line application.

Sequence, Selection, Iteration...

I have shrunk WinXP and installed Kuki with no problem. I cannot access the WinXP partition. Can anyone tell me how to. custom iphone 4 cases
